Separate items by season. Consider consigning those which are in good shape, stain-free and not too worn.
Call Urbanity to ask what style or season of clothes are in demand. Plan to stop by before 3 PM to have us look at your consignments.
Keep a record of the items you have consigned. Plan to pick up payment for items sold and unsold merchandise at the end of your consignment period.

- Boutique brand and designer labels are generally successful as consignment items.
- Although your profit is tied to the selling price, if prices on your consignments seem
inflated you may end up with items that don't sell. Rule of thumb is to price
consignments at 1/3 of the original retail price. Demand for particular styles is also
considered when Urbanity prices your items.
- Dry-clean suits and blouses before you consign them, as Urbanity requires items to
be clean. This small investment may make the difference between an item being
selected or rejected.
- Keep the consignment list Urbanity furnishes you in a safe place. This is your only
official record of the things you've deposited.
- If your consignment items don't sell, consider asking Urbanity to donate them to charity or local social service programs.
